Vintage

The 2017 vintage was cooler than average, a warm trend just before harvest allowed for the grapes to fully ripen. The grapes
in this Bordeaux blend were harvested from early to late November.

Tasting Notes

Complex aromas of red cherry, raspberry and currant layered with dark fruit such as blackberry and fresh fig. The palate is bold and elegant with flavours of red and dark fruit together with notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, leather and spice. With silky smooth, yet prominent tannins.

Food Pairing

Pair this wine with dishes such as prime rib, beef tenderloin, osso bucco, mushroom risotto, charcuterie and aged cheese, or dark chocolate for dessert.

Cellaring

This wine is drinking beautifully now but would benefit from time in a decanter before serving. It will continue to evolve in your cellar through to the year 2027.
